Woodland Empire Ale Craft was founded in 2014 by Rob and Keely Landerman in Boise, Idaho. Their mission was to create a brewery that not only produced high-quality beer but also fostered a sense of community and connection to the local area. They focused on using traditional brewing methods and sourcing ingredients from local farmers to craft their unique beers.
In 2022, Woodland Empire was acquired by a group of local business owners, including Dave Krick, Jami Adams, David Roberts, and Jacob Black. This group is well-known in the Boise community for their involvement in other popular establishments like Bittercreek, Red Feather, and Lost Grove Brewing. Despite the change in ownership, the new team has committed to maintaining the brewery’s original philosophy and approach to brewing.
Woodland Empire is known for its diverse range of beers, from crisp pilsners to rich stouts, and its taproom is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. They continue to innovate and evolve, always with a focus on quality and community.
